You should  Either right click your user and see if you have the "Change nickname" option, or try typing /nick to see if you're able to change from there. Let me know if that works

General Discussion / New World Shutting down
« Last post by Connor Altinus Mcleod on February 16, 2026, 03:23:10 pm »
A few months ago we shared with you, our valued community, that no additional content would come to New World: Aeternum after the Nighthaven seasonal update. We also said more details on what’s happening next, alongside other essential information, would soon follow. Today, we’re here to share updates and provide transparency on where the game goes from here.

New World: Aeternum will officially be taken offline from all platforms on January 31, 2027. On January 15, 2026, the title will be delisted and no longer available for purchase. Players will still be able to play New World: Aeternum on their purchased platform, and we are extending the Nighthaven season until the servers are taken offline on January 31, 2027.

We want to thank the players for your dedication and passion. We are grateful for the time spent crafting the world of Aeternum with you. Together we built something special. While we are saddened to say goodbye, we’re honored that we were able to share so much with the community.

It has been our pleasure to work on New World: Aeternum and evolve this unforgettable adventure with you all. We look forward to one more year together, and giving this fantastic adventure a sendoff worthy of a legendary hero. From the bottom of all our hearts, thank you for sharing this world with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q) How do I produce sufficient troops so that I'm not always running out?

I can only speak from personal experience, but my highest chapter city has no troubles with its troop levels, so here are some of the things that it has:
  • Human, so fewer combat losses
  • Level 10 Fire Phoenix, fed when fighting a lot of battles at once
  • 2 max-level Armories
  • The Sanctuary Ancient Wonder (called Martial Monastery for Elves)
  • Shrine of the Shrewdy Shrooms Ancient Wonder
  • Post Elvenar chapter, therefore no demand for standard goods, which means I can easily cater the tougher fights to spare troops
  • Lesser Ancient Wonders: Needles of the Tempest (improves Archers), Dragon Abbey (improves Priests)
  • Simia Sapiens Ancient Wonder
If I know I am going to be doing a lot of Tournament and/or Spire encounters, often I will put down one or more of those 5-day temporary combat buildings such as Unleashed Unit Upgrade.

Interestingly, you will notice there is no mention of Barracks level.  Once you have the full 5 training slots, leveling your military buildings (Barracks, Training Grounds, Mercenary Camp) only helps you if you are collecting troops often enough to make use of the additional training speed.  So level them as appropriate for your activity.

Q) How do I improve my mana production?

Event buildings.  The buildings you acquire from the always-running events will far outstrip anything you can build from the Culture menu.

There are also a couple of good buildings available in the Crafting pane of your Magic Academy.  Depending on what chapter you are in, the Festival Merchant is a great mana producer.  (After a certain chapter it starts producing seeds, though.  It then becomes a good seed producer, if you happen to need seeds.)

Keep an eye on what turns up in Crafting for anything that produces mana, and whenever an event is running, check the daily prizes for mana producers and spend your event currency on those.  (As a bonus they will typically provide culture and sometimes population as well.)

General Discussion / Dreadnougt Sunset (sigh)
« Last post by Connor Altinus Mcleod on December 18, 2022, 12:00:08 am »
Dear Captains,

After countless epic battles, Dreadnought will sunset on March 19, 2023.
We love the universe that we were able to create together with you. Thank you!

To give a proper sendoff and farewell to the game, we’re planning a number of activities and events between now and March. Please stay tuned for announcements.

In the meantime, here are some important things to note:

- We will continue to support Dreadnought until March 19, 2023, at 11 am CST. At that time, the servers will go offline, and you will no longer be able to play the game.

- Starting today, real-money transactions have been disabled. This includes GPs, Elite Status, packs, and DLCs sold in the in-game market, on Steam, PlayStation, or through third-party game stores.

- Existing GP, XP, and Credit balances will not be affected. You will be able to continue to use your balance to acquire items through the in-game market until March 19.

- While players won’t be able to purchase items with money, credits can now be exchanged for GPs and used to acquire new items. Players will use these items until the game’s sunset day.

- We released a final update to deploy the changes described above and a few small tweaks to the game (link to detailed patch notes below). After work on the patch is complete, RayDog will monitor the game in case there are any issues. The rest of the team will be shifting focus to the new project.

If you have any questions, please send us a message through our support portal, and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

Our team would like to express our sincere gratitude to you for your support. It is a privilege to work with you, to be part of your community, and to play with you. Thank you.

With respect and sincere appreciation,

The Six Foot Team
