The Spire of EternityThe Spire of Eternity is another weekly event, similar to Tournaments, that appears and disappears on a set schedule. When available, it appears in the upper left corner of your city as a white tower. You must be past a certain point in the main plot to access the Spire.
The Spire consists of 3 floors. Each floor consists of gated segments of 3 encounters then a "boss" encounter. (The "boss" encounter is simply more difficult than the other three.)
Note that, like with tournaments, any progress you make up the Spire resets whenever the Spire disappears at the end of the week and then reappears at the beginning of the next week.
What makes the Spire unique is both battling and negotiating have differences:

BattlingMost battles come in "waves." These are running battles where you must fight each battle back-to-back and you cannot change units in between. If your units are damaged in one wave, then you have to take those damaged units into the next wave. (The only way to replenish units between waves is to consume Vitality Surge items, or spend Diamonds.) The game does show you exactly what units you will face each wave, so be sure to check each wave in advance and make sure you are sending the proper forces.
Note that due to a programming glitch (which as of this writing has never been fixed), although you can order your units in the first wave like any ordinary battle, the order of your units in waves 2 and beyond are somewhat random. Notably, the order is not the same as what the game shows you on the dialog! You can see this if you enter manual battle. This makes it difficult to be more strategic in rounds 2+.

NegotiatingConvincing the ghosts is basically playing a game of "Mastermind" with resources. Keep in mind, all resources used in all guesses are always consumed regardless of whether the guess was correct or not. You always get three rounds of guesses. If you need more, you have to spend Diamonds. Another option, however, is to cancel out early if you didn't get a good first guess, and start over. There is an item you can earn called a Spectral Stone which can sub for any resource and will be accepted by any ghost; however, remember, you can only use one per encounter!
Some tips:
- Your primary goal is to eliminate resources ("nobody needs it") so that you can narrow down the possibilities.
- In round 2, even when you know which resource goes in a particular slot, you can deliberately put the wrong resource in that slot to help you figure out the other slots.

BenefitsThe Spire has a shop where you can purchase from a limited stock that refreshes every few weeks. You earn currency by climbing the Spire. Note that for battlers, the Spire has a "battle skill" value which is basically the difficulty level. (It starts at 800 but will shift every week based on how well you do.) Increasing your "battle skill" makes battles more difficult but the battles will give you more shop currency. So it is up to you whether you want to keep your battles easy (by failing a lot) or make them harder so you can earn currency faster. The idea is to make it an even playing field so that all players can participate in the Spire and at least earn some rewards.
For people who "convince" the ghosts instead of battling, you can increase your "diplomacy streak" by succeeding in encounters without failing to convince all of the ghosts (which breaks your streak). A streak, up to 4, will increase the currency you win from encounters. Again, if you can't keep a streak going, you still at least earn some currency, so it's not the end of the world.
As for rewards, at the top of each floor, there is a chance to win a Blueprint (an extremely rare and valuable item which can be used to upgrade Magic buildings or can be converted to Royal Restorations, another rare item). You can also earn Artifacts (which one cycles every six weeks) from the bosses and from Mystery Chests that randomly appear after encounters. There are other nice rewards in these two locations, such as Genies and Dwarven Armorers. And of course there is the shop. Any currency you gather one week will carry over (it is not lost), so you can keep building it up week after week to eventually afford anything in the shop.
Note that the first four encounters in the Spire (up to the first blue glowy gate) are
very easy; when fighting, the squad sizes are such that you have a large advantage. And the negotiations generally only require three guesses; as long as you always guess different resources per ghost per round, you can't lose. Therefore, I would suggest everyone either fight or negotiate the first four encounters, because the one at the gate offers a chance for Teleport Scrolls and Diamonds. Do this every week and you will build up a nice cache of Teleport Scrolls and also gain some Diamonds along the way.
