Destiny is a first-person shooter video game. Set in a "mythic science fiction" setting, the game features a massively-multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games.

Destiny features three major character classes, each with two sub-classes and their own specific upgrades, perks, and special abilities (commonly known as "supers") that allow the player to finely tune their individual characters to provide a different play style.
